Dan was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. By the mercy of God and through the high school ministry of Young Life, the Lord opened his eyes and heart to the Gospel and caused him to be born again. He graduated from Colorado State University (B.S, History, 1975), Denver Seminary (M.Div., 1980) and New Geneva Theological Seminary (D.Min., 2015). The generous assignments the Lord has given him over the years include being a youth pastor at South Evangelical Presbyterian Church (1981-1985), Program Director with the Denver Rescue Mission (1985-1992), pastor at Wellington Community Church (1992-2012), Interim Pastor at Bear Creek Church (2016-2018) and Associate Pastor at The Bridge Church at Bear Creek (2018-present). He was ordained by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in 1987 and has enjoyed participating in the life of the Presbytery of the West since then. By God’s kindness and faithfulness, he and Debbie have been married 47 years and have been so grateful for God’s grace not only in their lives, but also in the lives of their three children and spouses, and their thirteen grandchildren (soon to be fourteen). Debbie is a remarkable homemaker, generous hostess, skilled quilter, and she keeps Dan anchored in reality! Reading biographies, backpacking, gardening, and baseball are some of Dan’s favorite pastimes. He and Debbie both enjoy road trips to spend time with their children and grandchildren.
