About James

James is an old Nebraska farm boy, who went on to attend Wheaton College where he played football, threw the shotput and discus, and majored in Christian Education. After college, James headed to Phoenix where he taught school and worked in churches for 10 years. While in Phoenix, he met his wife, Sarah, on a blind date; they adopted their oldest son, Michael, from Uganda; and added Molly and Brady to their family. James also got his Master’s of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. In 2014, they answered the call to help plant a church in the Littleton area, and have been so excited to be a part of the adventure of what God is doing through the changes The Bridge has seen from church planting, to merging, to engaging our community for the sake of Jesus. James enjoys hiking, biking, camping, skiing, rugby, and reading good books.
